Hello! 

My name is Emily Nance and I am a photographer who is proud to call North Carolina my home. By living in the piedmont, I can easily spend my free time visiting one of our beautiful east coast beaches or enjoy the breathtaking views of the Appalachian Mountains.

 

My interest in photography developed during my teenage years when I received a digital camera as a Christmas gift. My love of photography truly blossomed when I joined my high school yearbook staff. My camera assisted me in preserving many special moments.

 

When I began thinking about plans after high school, my decision to study photography was an easy one. I never would have thought of going to college without my camera. By double majoring in Commercial Photography and Graphic Communications Management, my courses at Appalachian State University allowed me to obtain more knowledge and acquire special techniques related to photography. Surrounded by the beautiful mountain scenery and immersed in Boone, a community filled with creative souls like myself, helped me further discover who I am as a person. No matter where I am, I will always feel at home behind the lens of my camera. 

 

My website features fashion, product, and editorial images. I also have experience working with families, pets, and taking architectural photography. As a self-proclaimed kid at heart, I am good with children and strive to make everyone feel comfortable while in front of my camera.
